Welcome to Yolk Book!

Here’s a quick guide to help you get the most out of the application.

Dashboard

Your main overview. The summary cards show your key statistics like total eggs, income, and expenses. Use the date range selector in the Settings page to change the time period for these cards.

Eggs

Track your daily egg collections here.

• Record Egg Collection: Click the summary to expand the form. Enter the date and the number of eggs collected, then click "Save Eggs".
• Egg Collection Log: View a history of all your egg entries. You can edit or delete any entry using the pencil and trash can icons.

Flock

Manage the members of your flock.

• Add a New Chicken: Fill out the form with your chicken's name, breed, date of birth/acquisition, and status.
• Flock Members Table: See a list of all your chickens, including their calculated age. You can edit or remove members from this list.

Chores

Stay on top of your daily tasks with the interactive chore list. Simply click on a chore to mark it as complete for the day. Use the "Reset All" button if you need to start over.

Financials

Keep track of your farm's finances by recording income and expenses in their respective forms. All transactions will appear in the Financials Log below.

Reports

Get detailed insights into your farm's performance. Use the date filters at the top to generate reports for specific periods. The charts and summary table will update automatically.

Settings & Customization

Personalize Yolk Book to fit your needs on the Settings page.

• Custom Categories: In the "Manage Income Categories" and "Manage Expense Categories" sections, you can add your own categories for financial tracking. These will appear in the dropdowns on the Financials page.
• Custom Chores: In the "Manage Custom Chores" section, you can add new tasks to your daily checklist. These will appear on the Chores page.
• Deleting Items: To delete a custom category or chore, simply click the trash can icon next to it in the settings list.
